Books
I'm currently researching and writing a number of books. They grow out of my own experience mainly around ADHD.
Lessons From The Trenches
Field Notes on Managing ADHD at Work. This is a mini-ebook companion for my ADHD Cricket app. It talks about my decades of experience in IT Management jobs coping with ADHD. I talk about the techniques i have found most useful and how the ADHD Cricket app ties them all together and drives the process like a heartbeat.
Diet and ADHD: What the Evidence Actually Says
I had already noticed from my own experience that some days my ADHD is worse than others. I tried to be aware of whether things I had eaten had an effect. I kept my own food diaries and tried to correlate that with my brain farts. I consulted with a professional nutritionist and naturopath who gave me very important guidance. And I am always reading the latest science on the topic. And I also love looking at YouTube but there's so much content on there these days it takes a lot of time wading through the videos.
Herbal Remedies and Supplements for ADHD
This one starts off from the same point as the book about ADHD and Diet where I noticed that some things seemed to make my ADHD worse. This book is more about figuring out what herbal remedies and supplements help the situation. When I looked into the research I discovered that there is clear scientific proof that some things help so I've written about what helps and exactly how. I also discovered that there are some real dangers to watch out for in this area. For example see my blog post about Serotonin Syndrome which kills about 100 people per year in the USA.
How to Self-Coach for Free
Not everybody can afford ADHD coaching so this book explores a method for DIY coaching.
How to use AI to Help Manage ADHD
In my book 'Lessons from the Trenches' I alluded to some ideas about how to set up modern AI systems to create a strong structure around your day to day habits to keep you on track. There are a lot of scare stories about AI but lets be realistic. There are some tools out there that can really help overcome your disability so why not use them?
