Priority Zero - Privacy Policy

Priority Zero ("the app") is a to-do list app with priorities, due dates and a chirp reminder. This policy explains what data the app handles. It is written to be simple and honest.

The short version

  • You need a free account (email + password) so your lists can sync between your devices. Your tasks are stored in our cloud database, tied to your account, and shown only to you.
  • The app shows ads (Google AdMob), which use a device advertising identifier.
  • We do not sell your data, and we never read your tasks except as needed to run the service.
  • You can delete your account (and all your data with it) inside the app at any time.

Your account

Signing in requires an email address and a password. Authentication is provided by Google Firebase Authentication. We use your email only to identify your account and (if you request it) to send a password-reset email. No marketing email is ever sent.

What Priority Zero stores, and where

Your lists, tasks (including titles, priorities, due dates and completion state) and settings (working days/hours, chirp preferences) are stored in Google Cloud Firestore, tied to your account, so that every device you sign into shows the same data. Access rules ensure your data is readable and writable only by your account. A copy is cached on your device so the app works offline.

You can export any list to a CSV file at any time (the share/export button). That file is shared only where you choose to send it, by you.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

Priority Zero displays ads served by Google AdMob. To serve ads, Google may collect and process certain information, including a device advertising identifier and general usage/diagnostic data, as described in Google's policies. On iOS, the app asks for your permission (App Tracking Transparency) before any tracking; you can decline. You can also reset or limit ad personalisation in your device settings.

Where required (e.g. in the UK/EEA), the app presents a consent choice for personalised vs non-personalised ads.

Notifications and the chirp

The chirp reminder runs on your device. On Android it shows an ongoing notification while a chirp task is active; the notification names the task you chose. Notifications are generated on-device and are not sent through any server.

Children

Priority Zero is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

  • Delete your account and all your data: Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your account and everything stored under it.
  • Export your data: any list → share/export as CSV.
  • Manage ad personalisation / advertising ID: in your device's system settings.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date will change accordingly.
